Trying To Develop Your Teenager Child Fiancial Literacy? Why Not Designed A Homeschooling Curriculum Now
March 30th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedHi buddy,
Welcome back, thanks for being around to read my blog post.
There are many parents are trying hard to instill good fiancial literacy or some sort of financial advice. I personally suggestion is to design a homeschooling curriculum for them to prepare for adulthood in the corporate world.
Imagine that your teenage child is in their mid-thirties and buried under mountains of student debts, isn’t it scary? I bet it is the fact. By designing a financial literacy homeschooling curriculum, you will play a good role in providing your teenage child a bright future.
Even though most parents know the importance of money, most of them do not know where to start. They never received a hands-on application in financial education and also there is a shortage of such program on the market.
Also, financial literacy are not taught in public schools and in recent studies, it has displayed over 65% of teenagers look to their parents as their only source of financial coaching.
How to relate to them to the basic of financial literacy?
#1 Educate them the relationship of money to lifestyle.
Most teenagers are not that interested how much money they have in their bank account. But, what money can provide them that gives them the encouragement to learn money management skills.
It’s the experiences they want to have, places they want to travel, the people they want to help and getting the toys they dream about.
#2 Ask them to open a saving account.
Get your teenage child to develop the saving habit. As part of your homeschool curriculum, guide them to manage their finances and design a financial budget on income and expenses. This not only gives them a feeling of building a nest egg, but also help them to develop a good savings habit.
#3 With the money they save, encourage them to invest early and consistently.
When homeschooling your teenage child, one of the most important math lessons you can teach is the power of ‘compound interest’.
This allows your child to make money off the initial investment plus all the money the money that the investment already returned. Just show them that with an small amount of investment each could mean a million dollars in their account when they reaches their 50s. In fact, this is the most important part of educating your teenager fiancial literacy.
In conclusion.
Fiancial literacy needs to continue to form part of the child whole homeschooling curriculum. Once they are educated, they will avoid the most common financial mistakes, and be able to enjoy life to the fullest and on their way to securing their financial future.
To your homeschooling success!

Wanna Develop A Genius? I Bet You Want To. Get Your Learning Packs Now.
The best place to start is your state’s education department. You can get a list of the minimum qualifications of the curriculum. With the variance in home schooling curriculum options, checking for the basics becomes very important.
Without this basic step, the children would lack in key points when the time came for the standardized tests required by most states.
There is one important factor to look for, it is what you wanted from the curriculum. Some emphasize on the different areas of education, such as literature, math or even reading.
This can be a very difficult choice for parents, balancing between what they want for their children and what the children need for their future.
Reading forms the basic subjects that a child should take up during the early years of development. This subject is therefore important in creating a homeschooling curriculum for your child.
A good reading curriculum for homeschool is crucial in developing your child’s mental ability and school performance.
How flexible it can be?
The flexibility in schedule and flow that homeschools offer provide a lot of benefits for children. A homeschool program can custom-made the lessons according to the abilities and knowledge of the child.
For example, with a reading program a homeschool teacher or a parent can skip lessons that the child has already mastered like the alphabet and concentrate on aspects that the child has not yet fully learned.
What are the benefits of developing a homeschooling curriculum?
#1 Having the ability to adapt to the individual student involved.
#2 Each child will have their own interests and aptitudes measured.
#3 They could have personal attention as compared to a public education environment, due to its smaller class size. The fact that the parent is the teacher, and should understand the child better than a public teacher could.
In conclusion,
It is highly possible to homeschool your child while trying to develop a curriculum. You need not find a suitable homeschooling program then start to educating them. You can homeschool them while developing a curriculum at the same time.
This way you will experience possible blind spots in learning as your learned from your homeschooling mistakes along the way.
That’s it for today’s sharing.
To your homeschooling success

March 20th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedThanks for sticking around…
Let’s continue…
As I mentioned teaching your kids to face the real world of financial literacy using the homeschooling techniques is crucial. This will save them lots of trouble in the future.
#2 Develop a savings account for them. Give your child a headstart by developing a savings plan. Being part of your homeschool curriculum, engage them by letting them manage their own finances and create a working budget.
If your child still lives at home require them to save at least forty percent of the money they earn or are gifted for long term savings. This not only will get them started building a nest egg but will help them develop a good savings habit.
Help them to understand the relationship of a “need” and a “want”. These factors will free them from financial trouble that will help to counteract the years of ‘buy, buy, buy’ advertisements they are exposed to.
#3 Open some banking facilities to ensure they are able to manage their finances properly. Your child will need them anyway so why not get them started early. Plus you will find that the longer relationship they establish with a bank the more benefits they will receive.
#4 Advise them to start investing early…

Use These Techniques Of Choosing Homeschool Curriculums Here?
March 14th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedWelcome back, thanks for sticking around.
Let’s continue our discussion on techniques of choosing homeschool curriculums.
#4 Before you take any curriculum, you have to check the curriculum, whether it integrates all the subjects. For example, your child is learning science, while simultaneously using the English language grammar rules and concepts.
Also, you can get feedback from experienced home schoolers on curriculum or programs you are considering. A comprehensive home schooling program is flexible, and can accommodate your choice of subjects and activities.
#5 Once you have establised the curriculum, you may also required to submit test scores and attendances records. It is very important for you to find out the different requirements for home schooling in your state.
For one, it will help you make sure that once you home school your child, your child’s education is actually being recognized by the state.
Without state approval, your home schooling may not be regarded, which may make it harder for your child to enter a university or college.
#6 Talk to other homeschooling parents and don’t be afraid to ask questions about the pros and cons of their chosen lifestyle.
Many parents feel that they are indeed the best educator for their children, and there are groups available where both parents and children can meet others like themselves and create fun social environments, decreasing feelings of isolation.
Research has shown that homeschooled children who have spent quality time with their parents are loving and confident individuals later in life. There are many benefits of homeschooling, time with your child being only one.
You will be able to say later on in life that you were available for your child and helped mold them into the people the become.
Take care and enjoy home schooling with your loved ones.
